The high shear dispersing Cowles impeller, or Sawblade impeller is dsigned to provides high speed mixing by generating high shear force in a tank or container. This sawtooth balde design is widely used in applications where the high shear forces are needed to prevent clumping.
stainless steel Cowles impeller / Sawblade disperser is used in wetting out powders, dispersing fine solids, and creating emulsions. This cowles impeller can be fabricated to fit almost any shaft diameter and comes standard in 316 Stainless Steel, but 304 Stainless Steel versions are also available. 304 Stainless Steel Sawtooth blades can be hardened for abrasivemixing applications. Various surface finishes are available.
