Dispersion disc / cowls disc

The Universal Dispersion Disc, or also known as COWLES Disc in reference to its inventor, is designed in order to create large dispersions. It will create a flow stream in the container that contains the liquid to be dispersed, as can be seen in the lateral figure. 

All our DDUs are made of AISI-304 or AISI-316L stainless steel with customized bore diameter (shaft diameter)

How to choose a suitable DDU

For proper operation, the DDU disc need to work in a suitable container, that is:

for a ØD disc the ideal tank diameter is Ø2D ~ Ø3D

and the distance from the DDU disk to the bottom of the tank 1D ~ 1,5D

The table below shown are the cowles disc for dispersing and high speed mixing.

1. all size in the this table are in mm.

2. the φdisc, φshaft, φstud, stud hole quantity, PCD, and Wall Thickness are all customized.
